Main Program Window

The Main program's window comprises 4 areas:

a/ A Menubar at the top, with menu-categories for 'Main Log', 'Auxiliary Log', 'Map Features', 'Plot', 'Tools', 'Export', and 'Help'. Clicking any of these will show a range of sub-menu items for controlling the program. Each is detailed in the relevant Help section.

b/ A line of page-tabs, marked 'Map Plotting', 'Vector Map', 'Online Map', 'Search', 'Tables', 'Contest Mode', 'External Logger', 'Log Summary', 'Log Plotting', 'Main Log', and 'Auxiliary Log'. Clicking any of these will show the associated page in the main program-area, where most of the program-action takes place.

c/ The main program-area, who's content is set by which page-tab you have clicked on. This may be controls, maps, or tables of information. When the program starts, you will probably want to go to the 'Map Plotting' tab, where there are a range of controls to let you draw static state or county maps in a variety of ways. See the 'Map Plotting' help-page for a full explanation, or visit other help-pages corresponding to the other page-tabs.

d/ At the bottom of the window is a Status Bar, that is used to convey a variety of useful messages, such as the function of the tab-page that you are currently looking at, or the result of the last action. At certain times, the Status Bar is split into 2 separate sections, and may provide information related to the current position of the cursor when over a map, or the contest totals in 'External Logger' mode.
