Data Bar

The Data Bar, that section of the program window below the map, can contain up to five separate sections, and each section can contain a number of different types of content:

'Callsign over Location', 'Callsign over Date', 'Clock over TimeZone', 'Clock over Date', 'Clock over SunRiseSet', 'Clock over City Data', 'Logger Feed', 'Satellite Data', 'Countdown Timer', 'Stopwatch', 'Blank'.

Sections are generally composed of two lines, with a large font on the top line, and a smaller font on the lower line.

Visit the 'Data Bar' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu' to configure it. You can choose the Font Family that is used in the Data Bar, but not the Font height, as this is set automatically to match the selected Data Bar Height, of which there are five different values, including '0' i.e. no Data Bar showing at all.

For each Section of the Data Bar, you can set the Content, and the Time Zone. If the Content is set to 'Clock over City Data' then you also have the option to choose a Country and a City. The Time and Date Formats used are those selected on the 'User' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'.

Sections Content

To explain a little more about the Sections Content:

Callsign over Location - A static value, that shows the User name or callsign on the top line, and the User position on the lower line. Both values are those that are entered in the 'User' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'. The Grid Locator value is calculated from the User latitude and longitude values.

Callsign over Date - Shows the User name or callsign on the top line, as entered in the 'User' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu', and the current date on the lower line. To change the date-format, visit the 'Data Bar' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'. The date-value will be extracted from the time-value that the program is currently using, as set in the 'Date Time' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'. This may be the current date, or a fixed value, an offset value, or a loop between specified limits.

Clock over TimeZone - Shows the current time on the top line, using the Time Zone value specified on the lower line. Visit the 'Data Bar' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu' to change it, or right-click a point on the map. The time-value shown is the time-value that the program is currently using, as set in the 'Date Time' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'. This may be the current time (recommended), or a fixed value, an offset value, or a loop between specified limits.

Clock over Date - Shows the current time on the top line, and the current date on the lower line.

Clock over SunRiseSet - Shows the current time on the top line, and the Sun Rise and Sun Set values for the User Location, as entered in the 'User' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'.

Clock over City Data - Applies to a city that is selected in the 'Data Bar' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu'. Shows the current time on the top line. The second line cycles through a number of results: City Name and Country Name, Latitude and Longitude, Short Path Bearing and Distance, UTC Sunrise and Sunset, Time Zone value; then, using the weather forecasts for the next 5 days: Forecast Date and Weather-Type, Forecast Date and Min/Max Temperature. (If you selected 'Kilometers' as your preferred Distance Unit in the 'User' tab-page of the 'Settings Menu' then the temperatures are shown in Celsius. Otherwise, they are shown in Fahrenheit.) If the weather forecast is not available, those options will not be available either. The weather information derives from the WMO World Weather Information Service. Logger Feed - Shows the details for the last QSO received via the UDP Logger Feed, once it has been plotted on the map. This may be a second or two after it was actually received from the UDP stream.

Satellite Data - Shows the current Azimuth, Elevation, Satellite Name, and Satellite Range as they relate to the User Position.

Countdown Timer - Shows the value and status of the Countdown Timer.

Stopwatch - Shows the value and status of the Stopwatch.

Blank - Shows an empty Section.
