Auxiliary Log

Unlike the 'Main Log' page, the 'Auxiliary Log' is designed to be a temporary place of storage, where you can examine a log and make changes to it before appending some or all of its QSOs to the Main Log.

You can load ADIF-format (Link will open in your Browser) logs or Cabrillo-format (Link will open in your Browser) logs to the Auxiliary Log. Unlike ADIF logs, the Cabrillo format, favoured by contesters, has no facility to include a received-station position, though Grid Locators are sometimes sent as the exchange in some contests. If a Grid Locator is present in the Cabrillo log, it will be used to provide a latitude/longitude position to the QSO, so that it can be plotted on the map. If there is no Grid Locator, then a position is obtained from the callsign-database.

The same plotting commands that the Main Log has are included: all QSOS, confirmed/unconfirmed, or QSOs selected by bands or modes that already exists in the log. They are all accessed as menu-subitems under the 'Auxiliary Log' button.

There are a number of other log-tools available to the Auxiliary Log: 'Show on Map', 'Copy Line to Clipboard', 'Edit Line', 'Delete Line', 'Delete All Selected', and 'Append Selected to Main'. These are accessed by right-clicking the desired log line and choosing from the context-menu.

Note that the Auxiliary Log facilities are only available during the Trial Period, and if the programme is subsequently registered with an 'Advanced' licence. You can always upgrade a 'Standard' licence if you wish to enable Main and Auxiliary Log storage and plotting.
