Lat-Lon List with Label

The 'Plot > Lat-Lon List with Label' menu-subitem allows you to read a file containing a list of labels and their latitude/longitude positions, and display them as Position Markers on the Online and Overlay maps. Each line in the file should contain a label and a single pair of latitude/longitude values in decimal-degree format, separated by commas. South and west values are negative. No quotes should be included. The label-text should be one or two short words, and must not include a comma within it.

Example line: My Label,-37.8318,140.7792

The label text will be shown as a popup-tooltip when your mouse hovers over the position marker. You can turn the Mouse Position Label on or off by clicking 'Mapping > Online and Overlay Mapping Options > Show Map Mouse-Position'.

Right-click the marker to perform a Spatial Query. You can change the type of marker used for Position Markers by clicking 'Help > Options > Markers > Choose Position Marker-Type'. There are 37 different marker-types available.

Position Markers have their own 'layer' above the Online and Overlay maps, which can be controlled independently of the others. Use the menu-subitems below 'Markers' to temporarily hide or permanently clear the Position Markers.

The list of positions is also shown in the 'Tables' tab.
