Controls Panel

In order to save screen-space and make the map as large as possible, the Time Mapper UHD is built in a borderless window. Consequently, there is no Tool Bar that normally runs along the top of the program-window. Also missing are the usual window-control buttons, so these have been provided in the 'Controls Panel': a small popup panel that appears when you click the 'Menu Button': a 'hamburger' button near the top right of the screen. The 'Controls Panel' will hide itself automatically after 10 seconds of inactivity.

The 'Controls Panel' contains the following buttons:

Minimize - Will minimize the program to the Windows TaskBar.

Maximize - Will maximize the program to fill the available screen-space of the monitor that it is currently showing in. If the program is already maximized, this button will read 'Restore', and clicking it will restore the program to a floating window that can then be moved by clicking-and-dragging the Time Bar or the Map. You can also resize the window in the usual way by clicking-and-dragging the window edges or corners.

Settings - Will show the Settings Menu, that lets you configure all aspects of the program that are not concerned with layer-content.

Close - Will close the program after it saves all the current settings and selections.

Maps - Will show the Maps Menu, that lets you choose a new base-map.

InfoBar - Will show the Info Bar, displaying the last chosen Info Bar page.

Layers - Will show the Layers Menu, that lets you choose and configure any of the 50+ map layers.

LayerGroups - Will show the Layer Groups window, which provides a way to save the current Map-Layers, in their current order, that are showing on the screen in a named group, that can then be easily reloaded at will. The settings for the InfoBar and DataBar can also be saved.

UDP Mon - Will show the UDP Monitor: a standalone window that will monitor any UDP traffic on the specified IP Address and Port.

Contest Sim - Will show the Contest Simulator: a standalone window that will generate random UDP/TCP QSOs, for testing the Logger Feed capabilities.

Help -  Will show the program's Help Guide in the normal Windows Help Viewer. You are reading it now.
