Markers

The 'Markers' tab-page stores individual Map Markers that you can add anywhere on the map. They are shown in their own map-layer: 'User > Map Markers'. They are very versatile: you can make them in different sizes, with different colors and fonts and borders, and your own marker text. The style of each Marker is set individually, so they don't all have to look the same. You can even add a clock under the text, to show the current local time at the Marker position.

There are a few Map Markers provided to start you off. Right-click a line in the 'Markers' tab-page to delete ones that you don't want, or select one by clicking its line, then change the visibility below to 'Marker is Not Visible'.

To edit an existing Marker, left-click it in the table above, then alter values in the panel below. DON'T FORGET to click the 'Save Edits to Selected Map Marker' after any changes, or those changes will be lost.

To alter a Marker's colors, point-type, label font, and other settings, select it first, then click the 'Edit Marker Color and Font Setting' button. A small window will appear.

To create a new Map Marker, enter the required values in the 'Add/Edit Map Marker' panel, then click the 'Create New Map Marker' button. A new Marker will be added to the table. You should then edit the values as you wish.

If you are not sure of a marker position, an easy way to create a new Map Marker is to right-click the map at the place where you want the new marker, and select the option 'Add Map Marker at this Position'. A new Marker will be created. You should then go to the 'Settings Menu' and edit the values to suit.

FAQ

Question: When I open the Layers Menu, there aren't any colored boxes to click on the Map Marker line !

Answer: Individual Map Markers can have their values set individually, so there is no need for Point, Line, or Label settings color-boxes on the Map Marker line in the Layers Menu. To change the style for any Map Marker, open the Settings Menu and go to the 'Markers' tab-page. You can, however, turn the visibility of all Map Markers on or off using the Check Box on the Map Marker line in the Layers Menu.
