Description

This layer shows the zone-boundaries for the 'CQ WW' series of competitions. The 'CQ WW' are the largest Amateur Radio competitions in the world. Over 35,000 participants take to the airwaves on the last weekend of September (RTTY), October (SSB) and November (CW) with the goal of making as many contacts with as many different DXCC entities and CQ Zones as possible. There are many special stations and rare countries activated just for the contest, so taking part is an ideal way to work some rare entities and increase your country totals. Any licensed amateur can take part - just read the rules beforehand.

This Map Layer is a Vector Layer composed of Lines and Labels, so the Style for each of these can be changed as desired by opening the 'Layers Menu', clicking the wanted layer on the left, then clicking the relevant panel controls on the right.
