Save Vector Map as Image

This command will save the current state of the Vector Map as an image, that you can use online, or in other external programs or applications. As it saves the current state of the map, it is up to you to save it at a point of interest to you, after adding whatever fill, text, or grid-lines that you are interested in. To export the image, it is not important which tab-page you are currently viewing. Click 'Export > Save Vector Map as Image', and a window will appear that lets you navigate to the destination-folder for the image. Enter a suitable filename in the 'Filename' box. Choose the type of image that you wish to generate by clicking the 'Save as type' control: the options are 'jpg', 'gif', 'png', 'bmp', or 'tif'. The dimensions of the saved image corresponds exactly to the current size of the Vector Map.

After saving, you are given the option to open the saved image. This will use whatever program you have set in your computer as the default handler for that file-type.
