Overlays
The Overlay Map contains sixteen different map-layers or 'overlays'. The Background overlay is always on, but the other fifteen overlays can be turned on and off and stacked in any order to form a composite image. Markers and polygons are then plotted on top of that, in seven additional layers. When the Overlay Map is shown or refreshed, the overlays that are turned on by default are set using the checkboxes on the 'Options > Overlays' page. If a checkbox is checked here, that overlay will turn on when the Overlay map is shown or refreshed. You can, of course, turn a default overlay on and off at any time whilst the Overlay Map is showing, just like any of the others.
